Experience
Ray Eleid, a graduate electrical engineer has worked for two international elevator companies, a national elevator company and Canada’s largest elevator consulting firm. Ray Eleid has over twenty years of elevator-related experience in various capacities including:
- Two years as an elevator mechanic
- Three years as a maintenance supervisor
- Two years as a training coordinator for new product development
- Two years as a construction and modernization supervisor
- One year as a branch manager
- Over seven years as an elevator consultant
Solucore Inc. under Ray Eleid’s tutelage is currently involved in creating the first Web-based elevator maintenance monitoring system as well as the first quantitative technical audit. This ground-breaking system gives elevator owners and managers a reference point or benchmark, which helps them to determine if the equipment reliability is improving or deteriorating. As such, vertical transportation systems owners and managers can target performance deficiencies and improve equipment reliability, which ultimately saves them money, and increase their tenant’s satisfaction.
Ray Eleid is an experienced provider of maintenance, modernization and new construction specifications. He also has extensive project supervision, site inspections, contract negotiation and problem resolution experience.
He has played major roles in the development, engineering, tendering, and supervision of vertical transportation systems for projects in Calgary, Toronto, and Florida. Ray Eleid has been involved in managing a number of elevator and escalator projects including Bankers Hall Phase 2, Mount Royal College, Disney Quest, Universal Studios City Walk, Lester B Pearson International Airport- Terminal 3, and the Orlando Convention Centre. He has inspected hundreds of elevators and escalators across Canada and the United States for clients including TrizecHahn, Marathon, Disney, Oxford, Universal Studios, Kaneff Properties, Cadillac Fairview, CB Richard Ellis, Par-Med, Emerald, Manulife, Standard life and Del Properties.
