Experience
Doug Ferris began his career in the elevator industry thirty eight years ago immediately upon graduating from the University of Manitoba as an electrical engineer. His early experiences include elevator field installation and subsequently; a variety of management positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of service, construction, modernization sales, national account manager and branch manager.
Recently, Doug Ferris has focused on areas including logistics, scheduling and business management while working with a leading Canadian manufacturer of elevator, escalator and moving walkways. He has a great deal of experience and knowledge of all phases of the elevator business.
Doug Ferris has a wealth of experience in modernizations and construction. He was involved in various aspects of planning and design for prestigious projects like 375 University for Manulife; 481 University for O&Y; 1 Yonge Street (Toronto Star Building) for Redcliff Realty and modernization of 26 buildings for M&R and 3R Management – approximately 55 elevators in total. He was also involved with several construction projects including 18 Yonge Street, William Osler Hospital, Murano Condominiums under construction on Bay Street and 1 Queen Street East.
