• Advanced Electronic Technology Graduate – Ryerson Polytechnical Institute
• B.A. Psychology – McMaster University

Experience

Mr. Ferris entered the elevator industry thirty-eight years ago, immediately upon graduating from university as an electrical engineer. His career began with field installation experience and subsequently; Mr. Ferris held a variety of management positions of increasing responsibility in the areas of service sales, construction sales, modernization sales, national account manager and branch management.

Recently, Mr. Ferris has focused on the areas of logistics, scheduling and business management while working with a leading Canadian manufacturer of elevator, escalator and moving walkways. He has a great deal of experience and has detailed knowledge of all phases of the elevator business.

Mr. Ferris has a wealth of experience in modernizations and construction. He was involved in various aspects of planning and design for prestigious projects like 375 University for Manulife; 481 University for O&Y; 1 Yonge Street (Toronto Star Building) for Redcliff Realty and modernization of 26 buildings for M&R and 3R Management – approximately 55 elevators in total. He was also involved with numerous construction projects like 18 Yonge Street, William Osler Hospital, Murano Condominiums under construction on Bay Street and 1 Queen Street East to name a few.
