Some Elevator Safety Tips Part Four

by Administrator 7. December 2010 05:33

As the owner of the building it is important to get a lift consultant to tell you precisely what that upper limit. If they do not, then you will be unaware of how much mechanical strain your elevator actually can take. It is then wise, after you have learned the magic number for the elevator consultant, to ensure that anyone using the elevator is also aware of it. You can do this with a simple sign inside or outside the elevator. If you do this, then the responsibility will not be yours should the limit be exceeded and you will also avoid damaging your elevator. If you are riding in an elevator somewhere else that does not belong to you, then always look for this sign and abide by it’s recommendation. When you make the sign normally it is a good idea to keep the number fairly conservative so that it is actually probably lower than the lift can in reality bare. This way you err on the side of caution.
