Riding elevator mishap also occurs many times. When riding elevators ensure that you hold the handrail, if available and stand next to the elevator wall. Always pay attention to the floor indications and if the doors do not open when the elevators stops, push the door open button for safe exit.

While exiting elevators- exit immediately at your floor; do not wait for others behind you. At the same time, do not push the people in front of you when exiting. Watch your step- there are possibilities that elevator car may not be perfectly level with the floor.

If any event of an elevator emergency exist make sure if the elevator should ever stop between the floors, do not panic. There is plenty of air in the elevator. Never climb out of a stalled elevator. Use the alarm of help button, the telephone or the intercom to call for the assistance. The most important of all, wait for qualified help to arrive and never try to leave an elevator that has not stopped normally. Do not panic emergency lighting will come on in the event of a power failure.

Few of these things can be easily avoided if one pays heed to their elevator consultant and takes the job of elevator preventive maintenance for ensuring maximum safety.
